Meet Nanci
At what age did you get involved with music?
I sang in choir in elementary school, but started with bassoon in band in the 6th grade.
What drew you to your instrument of choice?
I honestly just thought it looked really cool.
What do you enjoy about playing in a more intimate setting such as a chamber orchestra?
It is such a pleasure to be able to lead and follow and communicate musically with my colleagues. I absolutely love chamber music, and chamber orchestra is just chamber music with more people!
What are some of your hobbies outside of music?
I love board games, reading, and spin class!
What music do you like to listen to outside of classical music?
Currently on a Lady Gaga kick.
